Meeting the Moment with Sitecore Symposium 2022 Event Branding

Sitecore Symposium is Sitecore’s premier annual conference designed to educate, inspire, and foster new connections, enhancing brand experiences. This event draws thousands of executives, marketers, developers, Sitecore customers, in-house experts, and solution and technology partners from around the globe.

With the resurgence of in-person events, Sitecore aimed to deliver an extraordinary experience that reunited the entire Sitecore ecosystem. The event’s branding was developed to align with Sitecore’s commitment to compostable products, reinforcing the message that Sitecore provides the essential tools to help brands Meet Their Moment.

To ensure Sitecore Symposium 2022 truly met it’s moment, I collaborated as an in-house designer with multiple agencies and vendors. Together, we created a cohesive digital experience, encompassing an event website, virtual event platform, mobile app, and social media promotions.

Event Website

To keep attendees and customers informed of the latest event news, Symposium site saw regular updates. I worked alongside event, content, design, digital experience, and digital operations in-house teams to map out each update launched in a timely manner.

Virtual Event Platform

Leveraging the RainFocus event platform, Symposium was able to manage registration, communicate with attendees directly, and host the virtual event all in one place. I represented event branding and worked with the RainFocus design team to align branding across their various workflows, locking in a seamless experience.

Event Mobile App

For the first time, Symposium offered a mobile app as an alternative to printed programs. This allowed attendees to access the agenda, create and build their own schedule, chat with other attendees, participate in the event gamification program, and stay informed on important event details.

I took lead on the branding and production of the event app, working with the content, event, DX in-house teams team as well as EventBase to ensure a successful launch.

Promotional materials

Promo graphics for a variety of audiences (Employees, Sponsors, Speakers, etc.) were provided to help spread the word and excitement for the event.

Social media

To avoid seeing the same design on social timelines, three designer per content type template were provided.

Design spanned across all social platforms, specifically LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.

One of the goals for Symposium 2022 was to live post key events via Instagram Reels.

In order to achieve this, a social plan that aligned with the event agenda was created. Based off of the content plan, reel templates and variants were created so we could produce branded graphics during the event.
